He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. The war was a terrible time for him, and Aldous does not often speak of it. History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Dean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

After coming to the age of reason, Gerald took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland.
