History: He comes from a rich western family. Through the years after Bernard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Bernard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He tends to his Bather job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and wants to open a new tavern

Bernard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
