Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Shane hails from a village terrorized by giants. He married young, but lost his spouse to giants. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Hunter was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.

Description: This man is very fat, and wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a black coat. His red hair and beard is wavy and long. His violet eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Cook born in the past three hundred years. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Kody grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Kody. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
