His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. During his travels, Anselm and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Anselm discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Anselm fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. John fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born into a rich family. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now mingles about in high society.
