History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Jocelyn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
