History: Born in the west to a Barrister, Roland learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Roland grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Roland. Being a Barrister kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born in the north. Through the years after Charles was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north.
