History: Ralf lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Gerald is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Gerald was born the youngest of three triplets. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Kody was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Kody's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Scribe work with an outfit from a few towns over. Scribe work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.
