He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Unemployed, but he got bored and became a Sculptor. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and he desires power and/or immortality

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears tattered old clothes, and is pretty ugly. His black hair is long and unkept. His eyes are brown and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with painting. He constantly tries to fill his life with painting. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and to find somewhere to settle down

Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he dresses in tan turtlenecks beneath a green coat with black slacks. He keeps his red hair in a pixie cut. His eyes are gray and catlike.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He is content; and to find somewhere to settle down

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
