History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. During his travels, Bertram and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Bertram discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Bertram fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He is a great chef.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered gnolls who tried to eat his hand. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He can't help but pocket interesting objects he comes across

History: Alex was born with his father's beautiful face. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A deep hatred of drow; and he wants revenge against drow
