Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Bertram's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: Bertram was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature spear.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Lance was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: Aldous was born with his mother's beautiful face. Aldous was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Aldous decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.
