Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Shane alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
