Roger Soames, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: A plain young-adult man, he typically wears blue cloth garments or leather armor. His chestnut hair is thinning but still full. He has gleaming, smiling blue eyes.
Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Roger was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Roger decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.
Motivation: Seeks redemption.

Personal [hide]
Description: He wears bulky grey painted plate armor. He has relatively dark skin and is very physically imposing due to his abundance of muscles. He sports a flattop hair cut. He has gray eyes and a grey hat with a green feather.
Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.
History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.
