History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Dean hails from a village terrorized by illithids. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Dean alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
