History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bernard grew up listening to his father's many stories. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. During his travels, Bernard and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Bernard discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.
