History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and to reunite with his absent father

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Dyer for hire.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Anselm was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Anselm's homeland. Anselm decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard.
