He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. At a young age his mother died while driving off some drow. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in quarterstaff use. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Ernest was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the drow.

He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Born in the north to a Knight, Godfrey learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. He now mingles about in high society.
