He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 5 years.

History: Gifted from a young age, Gerard studied abroad. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Gerard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Scribe. He has achieved small success as a Scribe.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Scribe responsibilities is difficult; and he is unsatisfied with his job

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
