Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.
History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Manfred grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.
History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Navigator. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.
History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Navigator for the past few years.
Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he is unsatisfied with his job
