History: He was born into a rich family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gerald grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gerald. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
