Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Description: This man stands a little under 5'2" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He very much looks the part of a Layabout. He is bald on top and has large blonde tufts of hair around his ears. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are gray.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Gilbert was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Gilbert's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Description: He is a pot bellied eastern man with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His silver hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. This hazel eyed easterner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: This man loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has worked as a Spice Merchant like his mother before him.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Description: A middle-aged man, he is dressed in earthy colors with a brown and blue handkerchief worn on his left side, and is pretty ugly. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. He has a dull look in his blue eyes.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. The war was a terrible time for him, and Tim does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Bookbinder mother left him crippled. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Description: Standing 5'11", this man wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized white coat. His hair is auburn and curly. His green eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants; and many giants want him driven away
