Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered east to less war torn lands. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ernest was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel.
