History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gerard was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and revenge

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Bookbinder for the past few years.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and wants to open a new tavern

Description: He is an exceptionally muscular looking eastern young adult. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. He wears a Stetson hat to hide his balding. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
