History: He was born at the edge of vast island. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
