Dean was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Born in the east to a Butcher, Lewis learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Carter, but he got bored and became a Butcher. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born in the south to a Gardener, Aldous learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Gardener responsibilities is difficult; and wishes to resurrect an old love

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Charles never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.
