History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the north. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He's also a talented Ruler, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with singing. He constantly tries to fill his life with singing. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Cory lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
