Bertram Hadlee, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He wears a tight fitting green shirt and pants. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his quarterstaff, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a clover on it. His auburn hair is braided into rings. His eyes are blue and he is always smoking a pipe.
Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.
History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bertram grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bertram. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult; and he has decided he is irredeemable

John Braxton, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He wears a pastel vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His black leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his pastel boots flare out at the collars. He carries with him a set of halberds on his belt, each one with a aquamarine on the hilt. His black hair is knotted and matted. His brown eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.
Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his youth he was a Map Maker, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger sister on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. John fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Hugh Watson, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears a tan armored body suit, with a simple brown line shooting up and back down. His long black hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. This amber eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.
History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things.
