History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Adelard's homeland. Adelard decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Born in the west to a Farmer, Anselm learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Through the years after Anselm was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Anselm's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Don was born with his father's beautiful face. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
