Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Norman never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: Gunter was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the west. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
