History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Charles was a troubled youth. History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Adelard lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
