History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Cory was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Balimaar liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Balimaar never married again. Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.
