The war was a terrible time for him, and Simon does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

History: Born in the north to a Server, Justin learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Through the years after Justin was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Justin's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now owns his own business.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
