Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Patrick embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

Description: He does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. He is physically well-built. His silver hair is singed and shortened. He is baby faced.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carter and was forced into it by his family; and to unite with his brother

Description: He wears a green cloak and cross-gartered black stockings, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'8" when asserting himself. He sports a long golden beard, and similarly colored long hair. His half smiles and blue eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Stylist they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Roofer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and wants to raise his children well

Description: This younger middle-aged man wears a tan vest and prefers red and brown shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down, and a wedding ring on his left hand. His black hair is knotted and matted. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Anthony lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To settle down with his crush; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Description: Standing 5'9", this man wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty black coat over it. His top hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His gray eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety.
