Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Ernest was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Through the years after Ernest was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Ernest's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Adventurer profession.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and expand his business
