History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Charles hails from a village terrorized by giants. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He struck the Brewer job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: To be a Carter again; and he is greedy

History: He was born in the south. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. After a long history of fighting, Kody and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world.
