History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
