History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He is wearing a perfectly clean shirt and pair of pants. With a patchy silver beard and wild silver hair. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Marshal they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Miller, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and to share knowledge with the world

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A freak accident while working with his Tanner father left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people.

Description: This eastern man wears a tan tunic with grey highlights, and long blue pants that bunch up around his shoes. His clothes are grease stained in places. Sporting a white mohawk and bushy mustache this man's hair draws a lot of attention. His gray eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Guard who has hired him part-time. A friendly and beautiful Human, he is rarely seen without a few beauties around his arms. Though a playboy in all rights, he is no lame duck.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Gardener. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: To end his boredom.
