History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Gilbert and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and a deep hatred of gnolls

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
