History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Lance alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature dagger.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Theodoric was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. History: Gifted from a young age, Theodoric studied abroad. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
