History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: Dean was born with his father's beautiful face. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting dire rats, the young Dean began to lead the lost caravan. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear.

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Human culture. Arnold enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Arnold hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and a deep hatred of brigands
