History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Raymond was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion
