History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hugh embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: He was born into a rich family. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
