Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born in the south. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Butcher and was forced into it by his family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Dilettante responsibilities is difficult; and seeks redemption

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Scribe. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
