Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He worked as a nervous Bounty Hunter and found it very stressful. He has achieved small success as a Bounty Hunter.
