When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: He got into the Tanner business at a young age. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Rolf never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it.
