History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Now he works as a painting tutor during his time off.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
