A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. History: Nicholas was born the youngest of three triplets. His first spouse was a Scribe, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by orcs in a raid when he was still a young child. The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
