History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Nicholas is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a grey coat. He has shaved his head bald. His eyes are a pleasant amber.

Personality: Kody hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born in the west. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Description: He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty black coat over it. He is bristling with hidden weapons, mostly sais and shields. His moppish chestnut hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His gray eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact
