Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Richard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
