His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He saw the violence of war and the aftermath so he converted to religion and dedicated himself to non-violence.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Richard's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the east. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Clerebold was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He's also a talented Guard, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
