History: Cory was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When Cory reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Bookbinder for the past few years.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Layabout and was forced into it by his family; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Raymond fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
